The Anger in Ernest and Ernestine
June 20-29
By Leah Cherniak, Robert Morgan, and Martha Ross
An outlandish comedy about two newlyweds moving in together for the first time. In the confines of a tiny basement suite, their perfect love turns into perfect hate as they discover the weirdness that lurks deep in their hearts. Trepan Theatre puts their playfully absurd spin on this classic Canadian comedy.

Trepan Theatre's SHE Must Be Seen
April 22, 2013
Dear Trepan Theatre: you had me at quilted dressing gown.
You sealed the deal with a butler, bellowed songs about beloved Britannia and khaki travelling duds. Hell, I even enjoyed the big African game hunting scenes and I'm a vegetarian.
Trepan Theatre entertains in dry colonial style with SHE, an adaptation of the 1887 novel She Who Must Be Obeyed by H. Rider Haggard. SHE is exactly what you'd get if you took away the aquatic and hot air balloon travel from a Jules Verne novel and instead had the protagonist(s) pursue that most ancient of aims: a beautiful woman.
